New Orleans Garden & Farm Festival

About this event

The New Orleans Garden & Farm Festival is a free, city-wide open garden and farm day, taking place on Saturday, November 21, 2026. The public is invited to explore the unique agricultural spaces tucked away inside their own neighborhoods, with completely free admission at all participating locations.

Taking place the weekend before Thanksgiving, this immersive, family-friendly event functions as a decentralized trail spanning multiple community gardens, urban farms, and neighborhood growing spaces across the city. Rather than gathering at a single venue, attendees are encouraged to journey through various neighborhoods to discover the artisans cultivating the city’s soil.

To make navigating the city-wide trail seamless, the festival will feature a QR code through the website. By scanning the code with a mobile device, neighbors can instantly access an interactive Google Map of the trail alongside a detailed schedule of specific open hours, tours, and activities hosted by each individual grower.
