Twilight Symphony

About this event

Notes for Education Northshore provides several free and low-cost resources that make music education accessible to students throughout St. Tammany Parish.

Our primary resource is the donation of new and refurbished musical instruments to local school band and orchestra programs. These instruments are provided at no cost to schools, allowing students whose families may not be able to afford an instrument the opportunity to participate in music education.

In addition to instruments, we provide college scholarships to graduating seniors who are pursuing degrees in music performance or music education, helping to reduce the financial burden of higher education while encouraging the next generation of musicians and educators.

We also support music educators by connecting schools with donated equipment and other resources that strengthen their programs. Through community partnerships, fundraising events, and educational outreach, we work to ensure that music remains accessible to all students, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Beyond tangible resources, we provide opportunities for the community to experience and support the arts through events such as Twilight Symphony, which celebrates music while raising funds to benefit local students. We also promote the lifelong educational, emotional, and social benefits of music through public awareness initiatives.

By removing financial barriers and investing in young musicians, Notes for Education Northshore helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to discover the joy and lifelong benefits of music.
