About this event
Join Louisiana Contemporary, presented by the Helis Foundation, artist Lizz Freeman in this workshop exploring quilting as fine art. Learn techniques to make quilts and sewn assemblages.
The workshop will cover improvisational composition, appliqué stitching, hand quilting and more. Participants will create a small-scale quilt that makes a fine wall hanging, doll quilt or cat mat. Materials, including naturally dyed linen, perle cotton, hand quilting needles and batting are included. There will be a table full of lovely fabrics from the artist’s personal stash for participants to dig through and use.
Must be 18 or older to attend.
