- ➤ Delta Utilities has suspended all scheduled natural gas disconnections during the severe weather advisory to keep heating available and process payments + offer winter assistance. Customers will not face disconnections for nonpayment while safety measures continue in the area. Biz New Orleans

- ➤ LSU head coach Lane Kiffin (joint grand marshal) will ride a special Mike the Tiger float created by Kern Studios during Endymion Parade; historian Arthur Hardy will not ride with him. The 60th Super Krewe event takes place on Feb. 14 at Caesars Superdome. WDSU
- ➤ Saturday saw the Krewe of Chewbacchus parade roll through Marigny to the French Quarter with a sci-fi theme. The event was slightly adjusted (organizers shortened the lineup to ensure safety) as brief rain ended before the parade began. WDSU

- ➤ The Louisiana Department of Health confirmed two winter storm-related deaths in Caddo Parish—two men died from hypothermia. WDSU
