- ➤ New Orleans will honor civil rights pioneer Dorothy Prevost with a public viewing at Gallier Hall (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) on March 13 and a funeral service at New Hope Baptist Church on March 14. Her legacy includes helping desegregate local schools in 1960. WWL-TV
- ➤ Hundreds attended a funeral mass for late Dr. Norman C. Francis at St. Louis Cathedral on Tuesday. The longtime Xavier leader and civil rights advocate shaped New Orleans— his legacy endures in the community. Fox 8
