  • The Junior League is hosting its 6th Women’s Leadership Summit tomorrow at the InterContinental Hotel with keynotes from Lauren Haydel & Ti Martin.   • Norman Francis, former Xavier University president and civil rights leader, was honored at a Mass at St. Louis Cathedral on Tuesday morning in New Orleans.   • Betty Daniels Rosemond, a cherished civil rights activist from New Orleans who once studied at LSU-New Orleans, hid in a phone booth in 1961 when white men dragged three Freedom Riders from a bus station in Poplarville, Miss. She passed away in January and is honored for her steadfast courage and lasting impact on our community.  Verite News

  • Louisiana crawfish processors remained short seasonal foreign workers after visa caps left some plants with zero hires, the Agriculture Commissioner said on Tuesday. Gov. Landry and state officials plan to press Congress for relief to avert plant shutdowns.  New Orleans City Business
  • Louisiana Economic Development selected 19 sites across 16 parishes for the FastSites initiative to prepare development-ready industrial locations ahead of high-impact projects (the largest coordinated site investment effort in state history) that will support future business growth.  Biz New Orleans
  • Louisiana gas prices spiked over the last 48 hours as some pumps increased by up to 50 cents (Gas Buddy analyst Patrick DeHaan said the rapid rises will slow over the next 36 hours) and remain high by the weekend.  WWL-TV
