- ➤ New Orleans City Park will host its Lark in the Park fundraiser Friday to celebrate six months of upgrades — the first phase of a new master plan to develop 900 acres on its north side. Upgrades include new trails, sport courts, and renovated facilities driven by resident input. Fox 8

- ➤ St. Paul's senior Connor Russo won the DAR Good Citizens Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution, Wharton Chapter, recognized for leadership with the Marching Wolves, student council, and significant community service. - ➤ Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry urged passage of Constitutional Amendment 3 in his State of the State address, aiming to permanently boost teacher pay on the May 16 ballot + the measure would provide $2,200 for teachers and $1,100 for support staff by reducing Teachers Retirement System debt. - ➤ City officials said the Lincoln Beach redevelopment design is 60 percent complete with consultants and contractors who joined in November. Construction bidding will begin mid-year and a community meeting is planned for June to update residents on this historic project. WDSU
