Morial Convention Center chose Jim Cook as its new CEO four months ago but his appointment stays on hold pending a bill to relax state ethics rules—this law currently mandates a two-year gap after board service before an executive role. - ➤ The New Orleans City Council voted unanimously to rename a half-mile stretch of General Meyer Avenue in Algiers as Reverend Taza Green Sr. Avenue to honor the respected pastor of Second Baptist Church.
