- ➤ Two people were wounded after an argument turned violent with gunfire near the border of Treme and the 7th Ward on Saturday afternoon at the 1400 block of North Claiborne Avenue + police were called at 1:27 p.m. and one victim, who was shot multiple times, was rushed to a local hospital + another victim later received treatment, while police have not released further details. - ➤ New Orleans police investigated a shooting in the CBD that injured one man in the 1300 block of Gravier Street on May 10 at 8:12 p.m.—he was taken to a nearby hospital and no suspects have been identified. WDSU
- ➤ Authorities arrested a suspect after driver—Donya Holmes—struck a pedestrian forced to walk when his car crashed and later died at the scene, and Holmes now faces a charge of hit-and-run causing death. WWL-TV
- ➤ A man was arrested Saturday night after an argument in the French Quarter ended with a stabbing on the 700 block of Decatur Street near Jackson Square — Robert Underhill, 55, is accused of using a knife when he allegedly stabbed the victim, who was later taken to a local hospital. NOLA.com
- ➤ Four people were wounded in separate shootings in New Orleans Saturday as one incident hit Tremé on North Claiborne Avenue near Esplanade around 1:30 p.m. & another occurred downtown near Duncan Plaza at about 8 p.m. while two more cases took place in New Orleans East on Lawrence Road & Coveview Court between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. WWL-TV

- ➤ Marvel’s Thunderbolts* led last weekend’s box office with $33.1 million domestically and $272.2 million globally, while Ryan Coogler’s Sinners—filmed partly in Bogalusa—crossed $200 million in US ticket sales as it added $21.1 million. - ➤ Today, the University of New Orleans is reviewing its MFA visual arts program after low enrollment led to halting new admissions while current students can finish their degrees.
