He explained that the closure comes after the annual parade was canceled twice due to weather and permit issues — a final setback following the bar’s recent move from its Magazine Street location. Jeff Landry signed an executive order on May 12th protecting colleges from NCAA penalties for NIL compensation—banning state funds from use in athlete payments until federal action or a settlement takes effect. - ➤ State health officials said Louisiana reported 170 whooping cough cases with 42 hospitalizations and 2 infant deaths, and the outbreak is on track to beat the previous record of 214 cases set in 2013.
