  • Early Friday morning, 10 inmates broke free from a troubled, nine-year-old overcrowded jail in New Orleans when a deputy was on break—long-standing issues like broken locks and low staffing are to blame, with three inmates recaptured and seven still on the run while law enforcement offers a reward of twelve thousand dollars for tips.  NOLA.com
  • Seven inmates remain on the run after ten escaped from Orleans Parish Jail because of broken locks and dead cameras with suspected inside help, and three were caught+state police moved them to a state prison+authorities work with federal partners in a multi-agency manhunt.  WWL-TV
