- ➤ Hilton Riverside at 2 Poydras St. is undergoing a major interior renovation that updates guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and ADA-compliant areas on floors 4-13 and the 29th floor. - ➤ Leaders at the Morial Convention Center said they will upgrade the facility by building a 1,000-room hotel at Sugar Mill (opening in 2029), finishing renovations by 2030, and launching the River District neighborhood near Mardi Gras World with the first apartment deal expected this summer.
