- ➤ New Orleans Public Library kicks off its Summer Fun & Reading Challenge on June 1, offering prizes like free books, mugs & tote bags for completing reading minutes and bingo tasks. - ➤ Local nonprofit Restore Grand Isle purchased the Oleander Hotel on Grand Isle last week after raising over $400,000.
