- ➤ U.S. Marshals expect to capture escaped inmates Derrick Groves and Antoine Massey within weeks + they also arrested Darriana Burton, Groves’ alleged girlfriend, as the search effort winds down. Fox 8
- ➤ On Sunday morning, an alleged drunk driver crashed into a group watching drag racing in New Orleans East, killing two motorcyclists and seriously injuring two others—one who lost a leg and one fighting for life—while family members decried the incident and questioned the low bond set for the 22 year old driver whose next court date is in August. - ➤ Scott Fredericks, a 58-year-old man from Marrero, was indicted on second-degree murder after he shot 36-year-old Joshua Carter during a family argument in Gretna on March 1—Carter, who was unarmed with his hands up, later died at University Medical Center. NOLA.com

- ➤ Today the National WWII Museum launched its $300 million Victory’s Promise campaign - celebrating 25 years and beginning a 10-year effort to expand educational programs, renovate its campus with more than $100 million in upgrades, and increase digital access.
