  • Federal prosecutors have alleged that former Glenmora police chief Tebo Onishea fabricated six armed robbery reports in 2024 to bolster an immigration fraud scheme involving officials from Oakdale and Forest Hill & businessman Chandrakant 'La La' Patel, who pleaded not guilty and remains detained pending trial.  WBOK

EDUCATION NEWS

  • United Way of Southeast Louisiana and local education groups are pushing a nearly decade-long campaign to boost reading skills among New Orleans third graders, aiming for 80% to read at grade level by 2027.
