- ➤ Kenner officials approved a deal allowing American Cruise Lines to build a new docking facility in historic Rivertown on an abandoned dock left unused since Hurricane Katrina, where up to 180 passengers will enjoy day-long Mississippi River cruises. The city and the company will share demolition and construction costs and plan to connect the new dock with a 325-foot walkway to the Mississippi River Trail, with work expected to finish in early 2027.
