  • Former New Orleans 911 Director Tyrell Morris’s trial is set to begin after delays—prosecutors will soon present their case regarding his role at the emergency call center.  Fox 8

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Metairie Towers, a 50-year-old complex in Old Metairie, will be auctioned off today in a 48-hour online bidding process after developer Darren Aschaffenburg failed to secure permanent financing for his upscale renovation plans. The building suffered damage from Hurricane Ida and has a minimum bid of $10 million—nearly 100 potential bidders have requested information.  NOLA.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • LSU dropped to fourth in the AP Top 25 after beating Southeastern Louisiana Saturday because Miami crushed Florida 26+7 and moved into the top three with Ohio State and Penn State. Tulane received no votes after a heavy loss to Ole Miss for the first time this season.  WDSU
