- ➤ Covington-based LLOG achieved first production at its Salamanca Floating Production Unit in Keathley Canyon 689 using refurbished infrastructure to cut emissions by 87% compared to new builds—boosting domestic energy output with the help of partners Repsol and O.G. - ➤ Louis Armstrong Airport and the New Orleans Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy are seeking local musicians to perform live on the Jazz Garden Stage in the arrivals area for at least three hours once a week over three months. - ➤ A new study by the Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans tested tap water from 105 homes in seven parishes and found PFAS—forever chemicals—in nearly all samples, with some levels above pending federal limits and lead in 67% and arsenic in 70% of tests. Researchers warned that even low exposures can add up and urged stronger safeguards for water safety despite contaminant levels being below thresholds deemed harmful by federal officials.
