  • New Orleans native Mitchell Ervin joined the board of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation after starting as an intern and serving as an NBA official, while Jeffrey Thibodeaux was promoted to area director of operations at Zea Rotisserie and Bar by Taste Buds Management. EDUCATION NEWS

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City Council approved an additional $3.5 million in bonds and insurance funds to support the Riverfront for All project—an effort that repairs Gov. Nicholls Street Wharf and upgrades Woldenberg Park to connect 2.25 miles of riverfront parks downtown. Phase 1 is more than halfway complete and is set to finish by spring 2026—while later phases will renovate the Esplanade Avenue Wharf.  NOLA.com
