- ➤ Saint Bernard Parish hosted its annual C.O.P.S. for Christmas Chili Cookoff where 18 teams competed to raise money for families during the holiday season—supporting neighbors in need. WWL-TV

- ➤ Dile Que NOLA is keeping Hispanic culture alive in New Orleans with Cuban casino dance classes held in a small studio where dancers learn steps and Spanish. Executive director Nicole Goldin Muro and nine other founders have built a community where participants learn history & language through movement and celebrate diversity. WDSU
- ➤ New Orleans is hosting a busy weekend of festivals with events like Boo at the Zoo, Ghost in the Oaks, and Oktoberfest. In Bayou St. John, Praise Fest on the Bayou offers free gospel music while in St. John the Baptist Parish the Andouille Festival features performers Amada Shaw and Juvenile through today. WDSU

- ➤ New Orleans police have enforced an 8 p.m. curfew on Bourbon Street by directing vendors, performers, and homeless residents to clear out as the campaign aims to boost safety while some entertainers say the measures limit their work — business leaders welcome the change for making the street cleaner and safer. - ➤ Thousands protested at the 'No Kings 2.0' rally in New Orleans on Saturday to oppose federal troop deployments and an immigration crackdown — many carrying signs demanding funds for health care and schools rather than ICE.
