- ➤ Delgado Community College has seen nearly 40% growth in enrollment for students ages 17 and 18 over the past four years. - ➤ During the Thanksgiving break, the Children’s Museum of St. Tammany will host STEM QUEST Innovation Days on Nov. 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at Pelican Park (Brown Gym near Mandeville). - ➤ Audubon Aquarium now houses Diamondback terrapin hatchlings rescued from threatened nests as part of Louisiana’s first head-start program — the tiny turtles will grow at the aquarium for a year before returning to safe marsh habitat. - ➤ West Bank voters in Jefferson Parish approved a renewal of the 4.75 mills flood protection tax on Saturday after previously rejecting it, a measure that will fund levees and pump systems from 2028 to 2037. The tax is expected to generate about $6.5 million in its first year—costing roughly $8 per month for a median home and ensuring continued work to keep storm defenses ready. NOLA.com

- ➤ On November 14, Hahnville beat Slidell 52—39 in a playoff game after scoring two quick touchdowns in the first six minutes, led by quarterback Landen Teague who threw 4 touchdowns for 214 yards. - ➤ Mandeville earned a 48 to 27 win over Thibodaux in a Division I nonselect playoff game on Nov. 14 after freshman QB Krew Collura threw for 348 yards, five touchdowns and ran for one score. - ➤ On November 14, Hannan lost in a tough four-set match to Parkview Baptist at the Cajundome—Northlake Christian was eliminated in Division IV after a loss to Newman, ending their strong seasons. NOLA.com
- ➤ LSU interim head coach Frank Wilson led the Tigers to a 23-22 win over Arkansas Saturday at Tiger Stadium — the team snapped a three-game losing streak after coming back from a 14-0 deficit. Backup quarterback Michael Van Buren threw 21 of 31 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown as LSU relied on key defensive turnovers to secure the win. WWL-TV
- ➤ James Borrego has taken over as interim head coach of the Pelicans after Willie Green was fired following a 2-10 start — Borrego said he will work to build a tougher, united team and finalize his lineup at today's 6 p.m. game against the Warriors. - ➤ The Tulane Green Wave beat Florida Atlantic 35 to 24 Saturday at Yulman Stadium as the team led from start to finish with three interceptions of FAU quarterback Caden Veltkamp and strong play from Jake Retzlaff and Jamauri McClure—who rushed for a career-high 94 yards—fueling their push for the American Conference Championship and CFP.
