ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The United Cajun Navy located wreckage of a Cessna that crashed over Lake Pontchartrain last Monday night as divers searched for missing crew members—Sheriff’s offices in Jefferson Parish, New Orleans and St. Tammany Parish had recovered parts linked to the plane, which belonged to Apollo Flight Training, though the flight instructor and student pilot remain missing. - ➤ A two-alarm fire forced one resident to leave his home on the 1300 block of S. Genois Street in Gert Town Saturday night around 6:30 p.m.—firefighters worked to put out the fire that spread to a nearby unoccupied building while no one was hurt as officials investigate the cause and the American Red Cross provided aid. - ➤ Susan Larson’s interview with Chris Clarkson and Tim Allis previewed a slate of literary events in New Orleans, where local venues will host book signings and discussions in early December.
