About this event
Experience the vibrant sounds of the Acclaimed Seven-Piece New Orleans Based Band, SALLY BABY’S SILVER DOLLARS, blending soulful rhythms and rich musical traditions of the Crescent City into an unforgettable live experience. Led by singer, songwriter, and guitarist SAL GELOSO, Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars brings together the sounds of early Creole jazz, New Orleans R&B, soul, calypso, and brass-band music, all infused with the infectious energy of second-line rhythms. The result is a sound that is funky, soulful, and unmistakably New Orleans. After earning runner-up honors in NPR’s 2024 Tiny Desk Contest, the band has continued to bring its distinctive sound to audiences beyond its New Orleans roots, earning recognition for its original songwriting, dynamic musicianship, and captivating live performances. From irresistible grooves to heartfelt original songs, Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars deliver a musical journey that celebrates the spirit, soul, and timeless traditions of New Orleans
