- ➤ A motorcyclist died when he hit a concrete barrier on the Almonaster Avenue Overpass near Jourdan Road at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday — police say the crash in New Orleans East is under investigation. WWL-TV

- ➤ Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy — charged with a deadly crash in Lafourche Parish that killed a 78-year-old man and released on bond in January — was found dead in Houston on Saturday night. WDSU
- ➤ A man was shot in the arm at the intersection of Canal and North Rampart on April 13 at 4:24 a.m. — he was taken to a hospital and the New Orleans Police Department is investigating the incident. WDSU
- ➤ Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival was shut down early when deputies confirmed two people were shot — Sheriff Gerald Sticker was on scene. WWL-TV

- ➤ Louisiana lawmakers are introducing new bills during the session that begins today to help lower rising insurance costs by encouraging fortified roofs for coastal homes.
